This ship is a legend. There has never been a more powerful ship in the world than the HMS Sovereign of the Seas. It was built by the King of England, Charles the First, and in 1637 the ship was first launched. The scale of the ship is also amazing: in addition to a hundred cannons, it accommodated more than eight hundred people!
Another amazing feature of the ship is its luxurious decoration: gilding was placed on top of the black color. This set the HMS Sovereign of the Seas apart from the ships of its time.
The ship does not have many decent models, this one is one of the rare. Made of red Canadian cedar - a reliable and high quality material. The cannons are made of brass. Every detail is hand and painstaking work of an experienced craftsman.

The ship was the main strike vehicle of the British Royal Navy, since it was impressive in size and carried 104 guns on board. The vessel belonged to the first rank linear types of floating facilities. The year 1765 was marked by the fact that the bottom of the HMS Victory was washed by sea water for the first time - from this year its voyage began, marked by many famous historical events, including the Battle of Trafalgar. Despite the ship's high maneuverability, the ability to develop an impressive speed for those times, as well as the presence of powerful weapons, the team was unable to protect their admiral from enemies. Nelson was mortally wounded and died soon after.
HMS Victory reached 57 m in length and had a width of 15.86 m. The deck could easily accommodate about 1000 people. The ship's participation in the battles ceased in 1812. After some time, namely in 1922, he was towed to Portsmouth, where he still stays. Now every tourist can get acquainted with the "legend", which is now a museum on the water and is the main attraction of Portsmouth.
Two reasons to choose "HMS Victory":

2. Elite, expensive materials, the quality of which is felt;
Back in 1690, the Spanish king commissioned the designers to create a beautiful and majestic ship. From this moment the story of the "San Felipe" galleon begins. The appearance of the vessel was simply amazing. With 96 cannons on board, he looked menacing. In the same year he became the lead ship of the Spanish Armada. He took part in many sea battles with French and British ships of the navy.
It should be noted that the "San Felipe" galleon was not always used in battles. Often, treasures taken from enemies were transported on it. The jewelry was returned to Spain. In history, the ship was noted more than once. In 1705, with 12 ships, he entered battle with 35 British ships. Since the superiority of forces was clearly on the side of the enemy, a day later "San Felipe" was captured by an English ship. Nevertheless, the enemy did not have time to fully enjoy his victory, since by this time the galleon had multiple injuries and holes. He sank quickly enough. It is known that he carried several tons of gold on board.
This ship inspired Aivazovsky for eight paintings: a huge one, equipped with the latest technology, created from the best materials! Even ten years after launching, it was in excellent condition (before it, the service life of ships was limited to eight years).
Today there are very few high-quality models of the "12 Apostles". This model is one of the rare, noteworthy. Made from Canadian red cedar (a very expensive material), the cannons are made from brass. The location of every detail is historically accurate.
