The ship was the main strike vehicle of the British Royal Navy, since it was impressive in size and carried 104 guns on board. The vessel belonged to the first rank linear types of floating facilities. The year 1765 was marked by the fact that the bottom of the HMS Victory was washed by sea water for the first time - from this year its voyage began, marked by many famous historical events, including the Battle of Trafalgar. Despite the ship's high maneuverability, the ability to develop an impressive speed for those times, as well as the presence of powerful weapons, the team was unable to protect their admiral from enemies. Nelson was mortally wounded and died soon after.
HMS Victory reached 57 m in length and had a width of 15.86 m. The deck could easily accommodate about 1000 people. The ship's participation in the battles ceased in 1812. After some time, namely in 1922, he was towed to Portsmouth, where he still stays. Now every tourist can get acquainted with the "legend", which is now a museum on the water and is the main attraction of Portsmouth.
